Westward to Wiggins
This morning, we left Yuma, Colorado and headed for Wiggins. No one got a great night of sleep because a bunch of trains passed by all throughout the night. Plus, we opted to sleep on picnic tables rather than in tents. The bugs ate us alive all night.
During the morning part of the ride, we caught some really nice drafts from trucks. We later learned from a local cowboy that you don't want to get too close to those trucks or you might get an unwanted shower.
We sped into town and met up with the lunch wagon. John had to ride in the van today (doctor's orders) so he got a little bored. He went to the thrift store with Meredith where they picked up some snazzy outfits. We were very highly entertained by what they came out with. Because we got out on the road so early, we had some free time, which we spent napping in the park where we had lunch.
The ride to Wiggins was pretty boring, so we all learned how to do "bunnyhops" on our bikes. That kept our simple minds amused for a little while.
In town, dining was a little scarce, but Sumeet and Sam managed to get a few restaurants in town to donate dinner for us. We all split up and had a bite to eat.
After dinner, a few people stopped by at a pool hall, then almost everyone went to bed to rest up for our ride into Boulder.
