Happy Fourth of July! The United Methodist Church was so amazing and allowed us to stay an extra night in Paonia! Today we woke up bright and early and enjoyed a delicious pancake breakfast hosted by the Paonia Fire Department. Then we rode in the parade, passing out pamphlets, tossing t-shirts in the crowd, and yelling our cheer through the streets of Paonia. Being in the parade was really fun and definitely helped us spread our message! Then some of us went down to the festival and enjoyed turkey legs and traditional 4th of July barbeque foods. The afternoon was spent napping, running to the grocery store, and watching movies; it was so relaxing! Tonight we all prepared our own dinners, so for the people like me who can’t cook, it was cereal or microwave dinners. But we’re not all domestically challenged, Logan and Rob made a lovely salad and chicken parmesan complete with table settings and candles!
