Today went by so quickly! It was a very fast ride into Boulder, CO. I rode with Allie, Jerome, and Shantha…and we were all very excited about riding towards the Rocky Mountains. For a good portion of the day we were riding on the interstate, which was a little scary. Allie also spent most of her day literally jumping up and down on her bike because she was so pumped to see the mountains! Unfortunately, it was overcast all day and we didn’t actually see any mountains until about 3 miles away from Boulder. Considering we had heard they could be seen from 80 miles away, this was a little disappointing.

When we got to Boulder the day went from good to amazing. We had bike shops that donated labor to change our chains, brake pads, and tune up our bikes. That night there was tons going on in the town. The group split up for dinner, so I went with a few people to get Indian food. Ian’s friend, a Texas 4000 alum, joined us as well. After dinner, there was music downtown and lots of people and shops to enjoy. I think everyone was super excited to have our day off in Boulder the next day!
